Job Hunter
Automating the parts that suck, while doing what I love. I used Claude Code to build a tool that combs through job boards every morning, weighs each offer against my profile, and adjusts my CV for the ones that fit. The cover letter stays mine.
- ▶ Plain rules do the first cut for free, then Claude scores what survives against my profile
- ▶ CV adjustments use only facts from a profile I wrote, and come with a list of where I fall short
- ▶ 1,735 listings in, 15 CVs out, in its first 5 days
There are things about job hunting I hate, and a few I actually enjoy.
I hate looking through job offers ad nauseam, adjusting every CV by hand to fit a specific role, and evaluating myself against each one. I love writing cover letters, interviewing, and doing test tasks.
So I automated the first list.
I used Claude Code to build a tool that combs through job boards every morning, weighs each offer against my profile, and adjusts my CV to highlight what fits the role. It lists the results on a local web page. It can only use facts from a profile I wrote, and it has to tell me where I fall short. Then a human takes over: I check the CV, write the cover letter, and send.
In its first 5 days it went through 1,735 listings and decided 15 were worth my time.
Try it
The demo replays the tool on 12 made-up listings for a made-up candidate. The scores, the reasons and the CV text are real output. Test a job title against the rules, move the bar, and compare 2 CVs built from the same facts.
